Natural Home Remedies for Menopausal Symptoms

Menopause is defined as the cessation of menstrual periods for 12 months. It is the time-point in a woman’s life when the function of the ovaries ceases. Menopause is a gradual process. All peri-menopausal and menopausal women should get appropriate nutrition.

Adequate calcium and vitamin D requirements, Low fat and high fiber diet to help prevention of coronary artery diseases and cancers. Evening Primerose oil (EPO)

It is effective in the reduction of severity of hot flashes and improve the quality of life and was able to reduce the number of hot flashes as well. In addition, black cohosh anti-inflammatory and immune booster effects can help reduce many of the symptoms. Side effects that result from the consumption of this herb include inflammation of the lining of the walls of the stomach and intestines, nausea and vomiting.

Omega 3 fatty acids for alleviating Menopause

 They protect against bone loss in menopause. Omega 3 fatty acids are found in Salmon, Mackerel, Sardines, Anchovies and herrings.
